AKASH BHARDWAJ, DELHI

,

Around Diwali in 2015, when Akash was in Lajpat Nagar vicinity, he saw an acid attack survivor female balloon seller who had burn marks all over her face. She spoke fluent English and Akash decided to hire her considering her talent and not because of sympathy. This was the inception of his idea. He runs a travel firm called ‘Khaas’ and a courier firm ‘Khaas Uphaar’. He hires only visually impaired women and acid attack victims. He has deployed software called JAWS (Job Access With Speech) that helps visually impaired people read. His employees handle all the major functions of the firm.
