Minority Right Violation in India

,

Human rights abuses of social and religious minorities have occurred arguably throughout human history. In India, the religious, social and ethnic diversity of its populace has often been challenged, including Dalits, Adivasis (the indigenous tribal people), otheoppressed castes and religious minorities

The infamy of India’s caste-based discriminatory system that is akin to apartheid, and concomitant evils like untouchability and religious bigotry, not only exist to this day, they threaten to exacerbate India’s rapidly widening caste and class divide and an environment of increasing intolerance towards religious, caste, and gender minorities. The ideology of Hindutva has now becoming a rallying cry for repeated attacks against both communications across India. Mass violence such as killing over 2000 Muslims 15 years ago in Gujarat state, ruled then by Narendra Modi who is now India’s Prime Minister. Muslims are constantly under attack still.
