Priti Patkar, a gold medalist from an esteemed university in India, didn’t think twice to serve to the needs of the children of sex worker. Deeply saddened by the way those children lived and were treated, Priti Patkar was motivated to make their lives better and thus came Prerna into the picture. At Prerna, these children who are rescued from the red light areas are given proper education and all their basic needs are fulfilled. She ensures that each child there gets the same treatment as any other child in the world. For her service to the society, she has been awarded by many organisations.
