SHALINI AGARWAL, BAREILLY (U.P)
Shalini Agarwal, a resident of Bareilly, has been taking care of injured animals in her city. She is housing over 45 animals including cat, dogs and even monkeys in her two-room apartment. It has been 20 years since she started working for animal welfare. Her dad was an animal lover and this transition into her and eventually became a habit. Shalini uses her own funds for the animals’ food, medicines, surgeries, and other needs. Some of her friends contribute to food or medicines too. But currently a homemaker, Shalini also finds herself struggling for funds at many times.
