Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak
Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak faced failure multiple times before he was able to do something worthwhile in his life. He is an acknowledged humanist and socialist who has helped people belonging to the so-called lower sections to live their life with dignity. He is the founder of Sulab International which is a social service organization promoting public toilets and which is against human scavenging. The out of work scavengers were provided with training that could give them respectable and dignified jobs. He has also built vocational centers for women in Rajasthan. His idea of low-cost sanitation has been replicated in many countries of the world.
